After joining forces with Inès de la Fressange in 2017, Lipault has now teamed up with Jean Paul Gaultier. The French fashion label and the luggage and handbag brand owned by the Samsonite group are launching a travel collection called ‘Ampli’ for the Autumn/Winter 2018.
The collection is inspired by the pinstripe suit beloved of Jean Paul Gaultier, and features a week-end bag, a tote bag, a suitcase and a toiletries case. The style is understated, and chestnut is the predominant colour, though the inner linings in powder pink are a nod to the French designer’s renowned, and ubiquitous, corset.
The collaboration also includes a line of twelve small leather items, from backpacks available in two sizes to bum bags, in black and brown.
Hanne Gaby Odiele is the model featured in the ad campaign for the collection, which will be available from 20 August at Lipault stores and on the brand’s e-tail site, with prices ranging from €89 to €269.
