Travelers may be focused on the Independence Day holiday and the rest of summer vacation, but the Walt Disney World Resort is already preparing for a wild autumn at the theme park.
One of the fall’s biggest events is the 23rd Epcot International Food & Wine Festival from August 30 to November 12, which offers guests the chance to sample food and drinks from more than 30 global marketplaces.
The Food & Wine Festival at Epcot will feature events and attraction such as Party for the Senses in World ShowPlace, Eat to the Beat concerts at the America Gardens Theatre, hands-on workshops, Remy’s Ratatouille Hid ‘n’ Squeak scavenger hunt, an interactive Character Dance Party and Junior Chef Kitchen experiences.
Admission to the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is included when purchasing a ticket to Disney World.
For families looking for a Halloween celebration that won’t terrify the children, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will run on select nights between August 17 and October 31 at the Magic Kingdom park. Disney will also host the Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular at Cinderella Castle, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the movie.
Advance tickets for the event start at $75 for adults and $70 for ages 3-9, plus tax.
Guests will also be able to enjoy the new Toy Story Land, an 11-acre area that features the Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster, Alien Swirling Saucers ride and games inside the 4D world of Toy Story Mania. Hungry visitors will then be able to enjoy a bite at Woody’s Lunch Box.
This fall, the theme park will also host Disney Junior Dance Parties at Hollywood Studios, open two new restaurants (Jaleo and Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill) and host the Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend in November.
In addition, the Ultimate Disney Fall into Magic Package will be available for Labor Day and includes a five-night stay at a select Disney Moderate, Deluxe or Deluxe Villa resort hotel for arrival September 3 and departure September 8.
The fall package also features four-day Magic Your Way tickets, access to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and two hours of exclusive evening access to Toy Story Land. Packages start at $149 per person, per night for a family of four in a standard room at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
