She was the one who was responsible for the car accident which led to Hilary's death, and now, with the truth exposed, Lily will suffer the consequences of what she's done on the Thursday, August 2 episode of "The Young and the Restless."
The truth about the accident was outed at Hilary's (Mishael Morgan) memorial service after Lily (Christel Khalil) went to console Shauna (Camryn Hamm), who saw the whole accident unfold and knew that Lily had run a red light, which caused the truck to hit the car. Tired of keeping the truth hidden on the CBS soap, the teen blasted Lily for her role in front of everyone—including Devon (Bryton James).
[post_ads]Now, Devon will demand answers, and Shauna will provide them. Lily, who doesn't remember the accident, will be stunned to learn that she ran a red light while she was fighting with Hilary, but will start to recall what happened. However, Cane (Daniel Goddard) will quickly jump to his wife's defense and try to make it seem as if Shauna is mistaken or lying about the events, as he was the one who insisted she and Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) both keep quiet about the truth.
However, Charlie will then pipe in to confirm that Shauna is telling the truth, and the consequences Lily will face will begin shortly after.
Devon will ask everyone else to leave as he talks to Lily alone, but the siblings won't be having a conversation where all is forgiven. Devon will recall how much his sister hated Hilary all these years, and how opposed she was to them having a baby together. Lily will try to convince him that she didn't cause the accident on purpose, but he will question the timing of her memories coming back and will have a hard time believing that she didn't try a desperate ploy to get her way.
Finally, after deciding that nothing she says will get him to believe her, Devon will walk away from his sister, telling her that she took everything from him. Now, as their relationship seems beyond repair, it will change everything for their family.
