Good things come in pairs!
Twin doctors at a Pennsylvania hospital delivered a twin boy and girl together for the first time.
Brothers Nathan and Matthew Keller, who work at WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in Lebanon, performed a cesarean section together on Tuesday.
“I saw [the mom] multiple times her during her pregnancy and she had fraternal twins,” Nathan said. “We set up a cesarean section for her and I found out the day before that Matt was helping me with it so that was pretty cool.”
They said delivering the twins together was an “awesome experience.”
Xavier and Gwendolyn were delivered just a minute apart.
Remarkably, the twin doctors were born at the same hospital 32 years ago.
"Anytime you have a chance to deliver twins, it’s a very special experience," Matthew said. "Then when you look across the operating room table you realize that’s your twin brother that’s doing the majority of the operating, it’s kind of incredible feeling."
