Angela Simmons mourned the death of her ex-fiance and father of her child Sutton Tennyson on Instagram, after he was shot dead.
Tennyson, 37, was killed in his garage in Atlanta on Saturday, Entertainment Tonight reported.
The Atlanta Police Department is investigating the matter with its homicide unit. Preliminary information points to Tennyson getting into a heated discussion with another man before shots were fired. The other man then left in a car.
"Thank you for leaving behind my greatest gift . I'm hurting . I'm numb. Thank you for the out pouring of love everyone . I cant believe I'm even saying Rest In Peace Sutton . I promise to hold SJ down in every way I promise," Simmons said on Sunday alongside a photo of Tennyson holding up their 2-year-old son Sutton Joseph.
Simmons also uploaded a video of her son watching a clip of himself having fun with Tennyson. "Reflecting . He keeps replaying it. RIP Sutton," she said.
Simmons, daughter of Run-D.M.C. founder Rev Run and former star of Run's House, gave birth to her son in September 2016. Simmons' engagement to Tennyson was called off in December 2017.
