Christmas morning some people will open up presents to find a brand new phone and be eager to start using it and learning all the tricks and shortcuts it has to offer. One thing that varies significantly from phone to phone, even with the same makers, is how to take a screenshot on the devices.
Until the iPhone X was released, taking a screenshot was always simple on an iPhone, hold down the power button and the home button at ones and the screen would be captured. This is still the case for the devices that still have a home button, but for those without the home button on the screen, so the iPhone X, XR and XS modes the process is a little different.
How to take a screenshot on an iPhone X, XR, XS:
Users should navigate to the screen they want to capture and then get ready to screenshot. To do so on the newer devices they need to press and release the power button along the right side of the device and the volume up button on the left side of the device at the same time and then release. The photo will then save in the photos app and can be found in the camera roll or in if the user scrolls down they’ll see a folder solely for their screenshots.
Users also need the power button for this one. They simply need to click it and hold it for a few moments, then they’ll have the option to select “Screenshot” once they do that an image of the screen will be captured. If the screenshot was successfully taken and save a notification will appear that says Screenshot capture and then it will be saved to the Photos app.
